A magnificent pair of hand-carved soapstone horses, beautifully sculpted in the classic Chinese Tang Dynasty style.
Standing on solid stone bases, the horses have a wonderful sense of weight and presence, with beautiful natural marbling throughout the stone.
The figures have some previous repairs and a small chip to one ear, adding an incredibly charming character and authentic vintage patina that tells a story.
A true statement piece for anyone who appreciates Asian art and unique interior objects with soul.
